3PL Worldwide Announces Doubling of West Coast Facility

Facility Expansion Doubles Inbound Dock and Storage Capacity; More Than Triples
Existing West Coast Throughput and Expands Contact Center Services

MILFORD, CONNECTICUT – April 19, 2011 – 3PL Worldwide, a leading North American provider of fulfillment, logistics and contact center services, today announced they have leased a new facility in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. The warehouse portion of the expansion will substantially increase capacity of 3PL Worldwide’s west coast operations, doubling dock capacity and more than tripling facility throughput and capacity. The new west coast contact center expansion includes enhanced customer service capabilities and increased capacity.

3PL Worldwide currently maintains bi-coastal warehousing and logistics facilities located in California and Connecticut that serve the direct response, catalog, e-commerce and retail sectors. The company also provides sophisticated order management and call center services for their clients. Call center services combine Interactive Voice Response (IVR), inbound sales, outbound sales, data entry, and customer service.

The new facility will include a number of technology and operational upgrades, including order picking, packing and shipping automation, a new Warehouse Management System (WMS) called “DaVinci,” and enhancements to the current Order Management System (OMS). Clyde Mount, President of 3PL Worldwide, said, “The expansion is the result of increased demand across all of our target sectors. And the new facility is strategically located within the Inland Empire to leverage our proximity to the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach for our clients that import goods from overseas. The facility is expected to come on line by June 1, 2011.”
